Senior Cowgirl Beauty {Sneak Peek}

I would love to know where the past 14 years have gone.  Because it feels just like yesterday I was baby-sitting for this girl and her younger brother on a Saturday night.  But here I am, 14 years later, photographing her Senior portraits for her.  Just crazy.  And she has certainly turned into such a beautiful young woman.  Which made my job a whole lot easier.

Thanks for thinking of me to photograph your Senior photos, Sydney.  I had so much fun!

Stay tuned for more from the shoot in the next few weeks.

Sandtana Senior Session

A few weeks ago I was given an opportunity to shoot Sandtana's Senior Portraits.  It was my first photo shoot of 2012 (and WOW I have missed shooting portraits).  Sandtana is a senior at Beaver Falls High School in Beaver Falls, PA.  While we talked throughout the shoot I learned she has a lot of interests and hopes to work with people one day.  She is such a sweet girl and great to work with.  I seriously see this girl going somewhere in life.

I met Sandtana the day of the shoot.  She is a rather shy girl until I started talking to her and she opened up a little.  I had asked Sandtana if she had any poses in mind she wanted to do.  She kept saying, "Not really.  I'm not very photogenic."  Seeing her smile while she talked with me I knew that last statement was not true.  Once she got more comfortable in front of the camera she was all America's Next Top Model and busting out poses left and right!  I would give her some direction and she would just go from there.  I kept asking if she had ever modeled before.  Sandtana maintained throughout the entire afternoon that she had not.  The verdict is still out on whether or not I believe her ;)

Here are a few of my favorites from the shoot.

This one is my favorite!  Doesn't she have the most beautiful smile?  And she said she wasn't photogenic.  Ha!

America's Next Top Model for sure!

I love reflections and was so thrilled to get this (how dorky am I to be excited about a reflection?)!

What about you?  Do you believe she has NO modeling experience?  Yeah, I don't either (but shhhh)...

It was so great to meet you Sandtana!  I had so much fun spending the afternoon with you.  You are such a great girl and wish you the best of luck in the next stage of your life!

Mitchell - Senior Photos 2012

A few weeks ago I got another opportunity to shoot Senior photos for a coworker's son.  As always, I was a little nervous.  Guys are usually hard to shoot because they have that "I don't really care" or "I don't really want to be here" attitude when it comes to picture taking.  Mitchell was not like that, AT ALL!  We (at least I did) had so much fun!  As you can see from the photos, he is definitely a natural.

An observation I made while shooting but who do you think he looks like?  Hint: Someone famous... ;)

Such a good sport!  He was open for any pose I threw at him.

See?!  What a natural, right?!?

Mitchell plays Varsity football for New Brighton High School.  He said this was his 10th year (am I right?) playing on this field!

Look at those eyes!  Just Gorgeous!  Still wondering who he looks like?  Any guesses yet?

A fun casual shot!

I love shots on train tracks!  It was Mitchell's idea to shoot on them.  Worked out great I think!

The football team comes through these doors before every home game!

I love his look in this one!  It says: "I know something you don't know."
This hat was his Grandfather's.  So sweet for Mitchell to wear it. We had a lot of fun with it!

Still wondering what famous person he looks like?  What do you think?  Yes or no? :) When I told Mitchell I thought he looks like Ryan Gosling he asked me who it was - haha!  Oh well... he'll know now.

Thank you for being such a great subject, Mitchell.  Enjoy your senior year - it FLIES by!  I may be contacting you in the near future to ask you questions about Photoshop.  Keep in touch!

Hope everyone enjoyed!
